We are excited to offer this raffle to benefit the many cuases that Valley View Rotary supports. We have four different causes that will benefit from your generous donations and support of the Classic Car Raffle.
1. Myrick Hixon EcoPark: offers environmental education, hiking, birding, prairie restoration, there will be live indigenous animal exhibits, and many wonderful community events. Myrick Hixon EcoPark (MHEP) is a non-profit organization whose vision is to achieve community understanding of, and respect for nature, and to protect the environment for future generations. Their mission is to create a unique destination with dynamic educational programming, interactive displays, and live animal exhibits that will advance the appreciation and conservation of our natural resources.
2. WAFER: is a "no questions asked" food pantry. Anyone needing food can come to the WAFER building during business hours. In good times and bad times there are always those who don't have enough food on the table. Valley View Rotary continues to support WAFER and helping those who need to be fed.
3 .Freedom Honor Flight: is a La Crosse- based organization formed in April of 2008. Their goal is simple: to fly every World War II veteran who is able and willing out to Washington to visit "their" memorial before all our veterans of that war pass away. They are an affiliate of the national group Honor Flight Network, which began this activity in 2005, and began flying with commercial charter aircraft in 2006 from Dayton, Ohio. There are now about 40 "hubs", or cities from which flights originate, around the country. National Honor Flight Network provides us with technical and travel support, and helps arrange activities in Washington D.C.
